Grapes are not Sour always

I'd read John Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath almost seven years ago, and was left with no doubt that it is a masterpiece of American literature. I wrote on my blog about it too. That book won Steinbeck the Pulitzer Prize for 1940.

Masterpieces never get old. The more time passes, the more there is to read into them. The same case with this book. And now, yesterday, when I discovered myself facing Steinbeck's books on the Central Library shelves, I couldn't stop myself from grabbing some more of Steinbeck's other books.

I picked up three of them:

1) The Pastures of Heaven
2) The Pearl
3) Of Mice and Men

Now I'm eagerly trying to find time to gobble them up. A string of holidays are in the horizon, and I don't know how much I could read in between. But I'm full of anticipation, what all I'll learn, what pictures will become clear from reading these books.

More about these books would come by and by as I finish them. Do come back to read about them!
